All major trade unions, peasants' bodies and labour supporting organisations have planned to jointly organise May Day programmes on Monday. At a meeting of representatives of major organisations held at Karachi Press Club on Friday the May Day programmes were finalised.

According to it, a peasants' rally will be organised from Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam to Karachi Press Club, which would be joined by workers and trade union leaders. The central function will be organised at backyard of KPC, where trade unions leaders will address the gathering. On the occasion, a Declaration would be issued and at the end labour leaders would present a set of resolutions.
